Learning and development
We invest in our staff through training and mentoring and help them to achieve their full potential by creating a supportive structure for personal development and career progression.
Through focused training and guidance, we equip our people with the required skills, knowledge and attitudes to enable them to both fulfil the obligations of their role and meet our company objectives. Having the right people with the right skills allows us to continue to provide excellent services and innovative solutions to our clients.
We empower our employees to take ownership of their own development, and we have an online training system, which complements formal role-related training and allows staff to learn at their own pace.
Apprenticeships: We are committed to developing the next generation of engineers through our apprenticeship scheme. Our scheme produces CECA award-winning apprentices and provides NVQ Level 3 qualifications through a structured programme that combines site and classroom training to give apprentices the skills they need to become fully qualified. We also offer further development opportunities beyond the apprenticeship, including Higher National Certificates (HNC) and Higher National Diplomas (HND) and the pursuit of professional qualifications.
Graduates: HOCHTIEF provides opportunities for graduates in civil engineering, quantity surveying and head office roles. Graduates gain professional qualifications, while building on-site experience and learning from mentors and we monitor progress against individual training plans through quarterly reviews, ensuring that we provide appropriate support and guidance to help our graduates meet their potential.
